Following a year of unprecedented challenges, Okanagan Show Jumping Stables is ready to celebrate.

To mark the 30-year anniversary of its landmark move from Germany to the beautiful Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, the operation is set to host a unique sale of 22 hand-selected Zangersheide prospects, all from a studbook dedicated exclusively to jumping performance and pedigree. Okanagan Show Jumping’s 30th ANNIVERSARY SALE runs Monday, Jan. 11 through Friday, Jan. 15, 2021 at okshowjumping.biz.

In light of the ongoing effects of the global COVID-19 pandemic, particularly with regards to travel restrictions and the consequent reduction in staff, the team at Okanagan Show Jumping is offering—for the first time in its history—a curated selection of weanlings, yearlings, and three-year mares and stallions for sale, in addition to a select group of horses started under saddle. All of the 20+ sales horses are registered with the Studbook Zangersheide and have European papers.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to access some of the most important foundation lines of the Warmblood breeding and selection program at unprecedented values.

Okanagan Show Jumping wishes to extend its gratitude for the longtime support it has received from its clients and looks forward to watching its selection of exceptionally bred horses reach their brimming potential with new connections in the coming years.

Please find below a small selection of the horses featured in the sale. For the full catalogue, visit okshowjumping.biz.

Lot 6: Chostine Z

By Chopin out of the Chellano Z mare Celestine Z, Chostine Z is a tall, powerful mare with a star-studded pedigree. This elegant 5-year-old stands 17 hands and is ready to show, having shined in her training and schooling show experiences. With a kind and honest temperament, Chostine Z would be well suited to a junior or amateur rider.

Lot 8: Lamourex Z

This exceptionally eye-catching 16.3h chestnut stallion has all the makings of a top hunter and derby prospect. This 7-year-old epitomizes the Zangersheide breeding philosophy: He is by Lurex Z with direct lines to Ramiro Z and Heureka Z, while dam Champagne Z is a daughter of Caretano Z and based on solid Alme blood.

Lamourex Z is sure to receive high marks in the hunter ring for movement, jumping style and brilliance. This bold stallion loves to work and would be an excellent addition to an experienced rider’s string.

Lot 10: Chimalive Z

There are no words to describe this 16.2h 3-year-old stallion other than “amazing!” By Chimeron Z out of the Cabellero mare Calife II Z, Chimalive Z has been incredibly straightforward in his training, with an exceptional temperament and a jump to match! He truly checks every box: He’s talented, brave and quiet and without question a standout in our selection. If there were ever a stallion well suited for an amateur rider, it would be this one, but with 1.60m potential, any rider would love to have this horse in their string.

Lot 17: Luxira Z

Yearling Luxira Z is a very athletic filly with a stunning pedigree. Sire Luxor Z combines the genes of “King of Sires” Ramiro Z and Zangersheide foundation mare Heureka Z with the famous Holsteiner Stamm 18B1, while dam Ramli is by the celebrated breeding stallion Libero H. Luxira Z would make a tremendous addition to a breeding or sport program. We expect her to be a jumper, though she has the looks to also excel in the hunter ring.

Lot 21: Lamboucy Z

Lamboucy Z has the modern look our sport seeks. A striking dark bay weanling filly, she boasts a pedigree assembled from proven international grand prix horses. Her sire Lamborghini Z was a well-known competitor at the five-star level, while dam Lucy Z is by Lucino Z. Lamboucy Z would be suitable for a breeding or sport program.
