It was Geneva 2023 all over again.

German wunderkind Richie Vogel and super-strided stallion United Touch S captured the second Major of their career with the Rolex Grand Prix at the The Dutch Masters on Sunday.

The pair set the early standard in the 11-horse jump off that included rising stars Sophie Hinners and Thibeau Spits, Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping live contender Kent Farrington, the man in yellow Yuri Mansur, and former world number ones Martin Fuchs and Henrik von Eckermann.

Third to return and first to jump clear, their winning time of 39.42 seconds couldn’t be caught.

“I am delighted with how everything turned out. United Touch S jumped incredibly in both rounds—he is such an amazing horse. The way he can jump oxers out of such tight turns, I think he is the only horse who can do it like that. He is so athletic. I am absolutely over the moon with this result,” said Vogel.

Sunday’s victory is their fourth five-star win of the week.

The world number four topped Thursday’s 1.40m and Saturday’s 1.45m Table As with Diamant de Casall. Vogel also won Saturday’s the 1.50m Borek Prize Winning Round with Phenyo van het Keysersbos.

“This was already Phenyo’s fourth victory this year,” he said. “We’ve ridden three competitions and won four times, that’s obviously a very nice statistic. I’m very happy that he’s in our team. He’s fast, smart, and always motivated for every test.”

Most impressive of all: in a sport measured in hundredths of a second, Vogel won each of those four classes by over a full second.

The Rolex Grand Slam next heads to Aachen in May with Vogel as the new live contender.
