Every entry is a winner in the Meadow Grove & Friends 1.20m Open Classic, sponsored by Meadow Grove & Friends and benefiting the 501c3 #WeRideTogether. And not just in that warm fuzzy way of community coming together in support of a good cause (though there’s that too).
But actually.
The fourth annual 1.20m class returns to California’s Desert International Horse Park this Saturday and features more prizes than you can shake a crop at—thanks to a long list of charitable partners.
On top of $20k in prize money, generously donated by 24 stables and individuals and awarded to 12th place, there are hundreds of additional prizes.
Like the Yeti Cooler, over $700 in gift cards from TKEQ, Equ Lifestyle Boutique, Two Hearts, FarmVet and Cowdog Coffee, a FREE stall at Thunderbird Show Park, bridle and reins from Pacific Saddlery, and a FarmVet bucket—AND MORE—that goes to the winner. On top of the prize money.
Or the $250 TKEQ gift cards and Pinsnickety Pins that go to second and third place. Or the $150 TKEQ gift cards awarded to fourth and fifth.
Not to mention the #WRT spur straps, water bottle and Agano stuffie, Kastel Towels, Equestrian Life Horse Treats and a $25 Cowdog Coffee gift card for the Top 8.
And #WRT is just getting started…
The Top Junior and the Top Amateur riders in the class get gift cards from TKEQ, Tried Equestrian, Euphoric Equestrian, and Corro Equestrian, and Pinsnickety Pins. Each. Plus a bonus $100 Barn Style gift card for the Top Amateur and a $350 Jenni Kayne gift card for the Top Junior.
The grooms of the three highest placing horses will receive cash payouts of $250, $150, and $100.
There’s even cash prizes ($250, $150, and $100) and #WRT TKEQ shirts for the three riders who come closest to the Optimal Time. So if you’re moving up to the 1.20m height and not ready to lay it all on the line, you can still hit a payday.
Didn’t make the top 10? The top 70 get gift bags featuring gift cards from Tried Equestrian, plus #WRT hats, socks, chapsticks, stickers, magnets, and more.
Even if you lose, you can win!
Eliminated or put a cricket score on the board? There’s a prize for that. The lowest placing pairs will receive a Dreamers & Schemers Burger Sponge and a #WRT Agano Stuffie because losing is part of the game and off days are always an opportunity to learn.
In fact, you don’t even have to ride in this class in order to participate.
Not up for the 1.20m Classic? All good! Make a donation in any amount to #WeRideTogether this week, and you’ll still get fun class goodies!
This Saturday, join #WRT at Desert Horse Park for the fourth annual Meadow Grove & Friends 1.20m Open Classic.
This isn’t a standard charity class. It sets the standard—and you literally can’t lose.

#WeRideTogether was founded in 2021 as an awareness campaign and educational website designed to empower, inform, and unite the equestrian community around sexual misconduct prevention. The organization has since grown into a 501c3 and is creating a blueprint to help make all sports safer for youth, amateur, and professional athletes.
