At Desert International Horse Park, you don’t have to win to champion safe, healthy sport.

But you win even more when you do!

Joining forces for the second year in a row, DIHP and #WeRideTogether invite competitors to jump for a great cause in the $20,000 MeadowGrove & Friends 1.20m Open Classic on Sunday, March 10 to benefit the 501(c)(3) organization!

With the powerful mission of making all sports a safe place to learn, play, and compete for all athletes, your $175 entry fee helps #WeRideTogether create prevention resources that empower, educate and unite the sporting community.

“MeadowGrove, together with many of our friends, is excited to sponsor the class again this year. We had a great turnout last year and are looking forward to next Sunday. We wish everyone good luck and thank DIHP for hosting this special event!” says Susie Schoer, class co-founder and partner at MeadowGrove.

Speaking of community, ALL are welcome to take part in the Table II, 2(b) format effort to create meaningful change, even if you won’t be jumping the 1.20m.

Riders can “enter” the charity class and donate their entry free without ever setting foot in the ring. All non-competing entries will be honored as participants on the start list and get to see their names flash across the scoreboard along with a kind “thank you” for supporting the cause, DIHP style.

“We want the Horse Park to be your happy place. That means keeping both horses and humans happy and safe, so we can all focus on what DIHP was created to do: run a good horse show and build top sport in the West,” says Steve Hankin, President and CEO of DIHP.

DIHP will once again generously donate 100% of the entry fees, while offering $20,000 in prize money for 1st through 12th place finishers. Brands like Equestrian StockholmSchulzInfused EquestrianSolea Equestrian, Equ Lifestyle Boutique, Show MD and Ice Horse are offering winners additional prizes, including a luxe ring bag, show jackets, ice boots, gift baskets and more! Additionally, the groom of the 1st place finisher will be awarded a $500 prize to recognize their hard work and dedication.

Want to do more?

Riders have the option to donate their prize money to #WeRideTogether, furthering the organization’s mission to promote safe, fun, and healthy athletic environments for athletes in all sports, at every level.

“We were blown away by the support for this class last year. Desert Horse Park was one of the first events to step up and support #WeRideTogether’s mission to make horse sport, and all sports, the healthiest, most positive place possible for all athletes,” said Michaela Shepherd, Executive Director of #WeRideTogether.

“This year we have an amazing collection of donated prizes for all participants. We’re looking forward to an even bigger event on March 10!”

The $20,000 MeadowGrove & Friends 1.20m Classic is a demonstration of just how powerful riders are when we come together to create positive change.
