Some might argue the best thing about spring is the sunshine and the flowers, but for us, it’s the horses and the shows (especially Thunderbird).

We’re returning to Langley for Thunderbird Show Park’s Canadian Premier and we’re Major-league excited about it. That’s right, tbird is hosting the first of ten 5* Major League Show Jumping events in 2022. No need to try and contain yourselves, just take a look at the schedule and figure out how to set up wifi in the garden.

Major League’s $8.5 million prize pool draws top talent, including three of the world’s top 15: Conor Swail (IRL), Kent Farrington (USA) and Daniel Bluman (ISR). Olympic Gold medalist Beezie Madden (USA) jumped over to Vancouver, along with Jordan Coyle (IRL) who’s hot off CSI3* Grand Prix and CSI4* 1.45m wins at Old Salem Farm. Brian Morton, Jim Ifko and Mac Cone are among the Canadian top riders who will be defending home turf.

Of course, the highlight of a MLSJ show is no individual conquest. Rather, it’s the team event, an electric 1.50m class over three rounds where each team fields three riders. Find a full breakdown of the teams here.
