Toronto’s loss is Vancouver’s gain.

The Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ North American League (NAL) is returning to Thunderbird Show Park (tbird) this fall.

The sole Canadian stop of the 2021–22 NAL season was originally slated for Toronto’s Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in November. That in-person event was cancelled in July and tbird stepped in to host in its place. The 2021 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Vancouver will now kick off the NAL tour on Sunday, Sept. 26 during the CSI4*-W Harvest Celebration.

It’s familiar territory for the BC venue. tbird hosted World Cup qualifying events as part of the NAL from 2016–2019.

“We’re thrilled to welcome the World Cup back to tbird,” said Thunderbird Show Park President, Chris Pack. “We jumped at the opportunity to host this event for our friends at The Royal and look forward to another world class event with what’s sure to be a tremendous lineup of athletes at our venue.”

The Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ North American League features a series of qualifying events for the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final, set for Leipzig, Germany in April 2022. Athletes qualify by earning points in NAL events between September 2021 and March 2022.

Following tbird’s leg, the NAL will continue to Sacramento, CA (USA) before heading east for the Washington International Horse Show at Tryon, NC (USA). The National Horse Show (Lexington, KY, USA); Las Vegas National Horse Show (Las Vegas, NV, USA); Fort Worth International (Fort Worth, TX, USA); Puebla (MEX); and Live Oak International (Ocala, FL, USA) complete the North American League lineup for the 2021–2022 season.

International competition continues the following week at tbird with the BCHJA Fall Finale CSI2*, September 28–October 3, featuring a $37,000 Grand Prix Qualifier and the $100,000 ONNI Group Grand Prix.
