As our team gears up to get back on the show circuit after a COVID break, I’m training and riding more than ever. Silly or not, nothing motivates me more than a new wardrobe. (That’s why I am also buying a lot of workout clothing…but I digress.)
For at-home schooling days, I’m lusting after these gorgeous grey breeches from Ovation. The color is to-die-for, and I just love the contrasting black knee patch. The mid-rise fit with 2-inch waist band is flattering on all body types. Made with RepelTech fabric, this breech won’t rip, and it repels dirt and horse hair—an extra important feature this time of year as all our horses shed their winter coats. Plus, it’s antimicrobial, which is an awesome bonus as the weather heats up.
I’m pairing it with this simple Horseware half zip long sleeve shirt. The black color complements the black knee patches on our Ovation breeches for an easy “put together” look. It’s also moisture wicking, offers UV protection, and is machine washable—a requirement for all my riding apparel.
I’m going to break all fashion rules and add this Dublin suede belt. I love navy with black, and I don’t care what anyone says. Plus, the white belt loop offers just the right amount flair.
I wear Roeckl gloves all year round, and as the weather warms up, I like this light weight pair. I’m hard on my equipment (I ride multiple horses a day, five days a week), and these gloves hold up really well. I have a winter pair as well, but these are my go-to in the summer months.
Throw on your favorite helmet, and let’s get ready for a fun season!
