Flawless.

Riesenbeck International were flawless in Paris.

Riding momentum of last week’s Global Champions League win in St Tropez, they produced the only fault-free performance of the day to secure victory in Stage 7. Marco Kutscher on Pikeur Lemar NRW and Maximilian Weishaupt aboard Zuccero HV delivered four clear rounds to finish on a perfect score of zero, stopping the clock in a combined time of 144.52 seconds.

“I’m super happy,” said Weishaupt. “Both of our horses are naturally very competitive and both horses, as well as us riders, did a very good job today. We cannot be more satisfied with our rounds and our horses.”

The team now tops the overall standings after seven stages, opening up a 12-point advantage heading into Monaco and growing confidence within the Riesenbeck International camp.

“We didn’t have such a good start, but now we’ve won the last two stages, so we’ve stepped up in the rankings,” Kutscher reflected. “We’re looking forward to the next competitions and we hope to compete the same way over the coming weeks. To win a week ago and then come here to Paris and do it again is very special… now for Monaco!”

Joining Riesenbeck International on the podium were Cannes Stars, who bounced back from four faults from Round 1 with a pair of clears from Angelica Augustsson Zanotelli and Jörne Sprehe to slot into second. Riyadh Knights, represented by Olivier Perreau and Cian O’Connor, secured third place on a team total of 5.

Riesenbeck International now lead the championship standings on 131 points. Prague Lions powered remain second on 119 points, while Cannes Stars move into third on 117 points.

The GCL next heads to Monaco, July 2–4.
