Six nations will take flight at Thunderbird Show Park (tbird) for the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ of Canada on June 5.

The United States, Canada, Mexico, Israel, Ireland and Australia have all sent teams stacked with some of their best athletes to Vancouver.

The Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ 2022 of Canada is the second and final leg of the North and Central America & Caribbean Division for 2022 with the teams from USA, Canada and Mexico all vying for points to qualify for the Final in Barcelona, Spain.

Mexico will enter the Fort Grand Prix arena with 100 points in line with their first place result from Coapexpan, MEX. Canada jumps in with 90 points for their respective second place finish.

The USA is all but out of contention after facing an unfortunate elimination in Mexico, where they fielded a talented yet green team. This leaves them with zero points on the board going into tbird. To qualify for Barcelona, the USA would need an extraordinary event: a win in the Nations Cup while also seeing either Canada or Mexico finish on no score.

So Barcelona might be a reach.

That said, redemption at tbird is well within the Team USA’s grasp.
