It seems Queen Elizabeth is living her best lockdown life, holed up at Windsor Castle with a stable of horses and her husband Prince Philip.

While the Royal Windsor Horse Show was canceled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 94-year-old monarch is taking advantage of the down time to get her horse fix and riding every day. Not surprisingly she is in “excellent spirits,” according to a source who shared with Vanity Fair.

While the Queen is still having her weekly audience with Prime Minister Boris Johnson, there isn’t much else for the monarch to do right now, with all public appearances canceled and Buckingham Palace closed to visitors this summer.

If you’ve watched The Crown, you know there’s some speculation Her Majesty would rather have had a quiet life with horses than be one of the world’s most famous heads of state. After 68 years on the throne—the longest reigning monarch in Britain’s history—we say she deserves this break.

Ride on, Lilibet!
