Some men wear their hearts on their sleeve. Chris Talley wears his on the lapel.

The 25-year-old American eventer is making his five-star debut at the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event in Lexington, Kentucky this week aboard Unmarked Bills.

Judging by reactions to his outfit of choice for the preliminary horse inspection, he’s already a winner.

Talley donned a scripted suit for the special occasion, featuring daisies on his right lapel and the word “love” on the left. The embroidered embellishments, reports Eventing Nation, commemorate his deceased grandmother’s favorite flower and handwriting.

Awwww.

If Talley’s, er, touching tribute, has left you feeling a little weak in the knees for the young rider, you’re not alone.

Here are but a few of the Facebook comments he’s inspired so far:

“Sweet Jesus! What a hottie.” —Beth Lapinski Gronland

“*swoon* —Caroline Kohler

“Omg love this rider Hazel Shannon – please make friends with him!” —Cally Hannah

Unmarked Bills, it should be noted, passed the jog, along with 40 other horses. (All but Ashley Johnson’s mount Tactical Maneuver were accepted.) Tomorrow, he and Talley will take on the dressage phase at 2:36.
