Equestrian Stockholm’s new Black Raven collection is embracing a new power-color.
It also has an appropriately catchy tagline: Black Raven makes a statement and leaves a mark. They’re not kidding.
Blending top-of-the-line functionality with the collection’s signature, vibrant, dark-purple hue, Black Raven was created to both stand out and give back.
For one thing, the collection was consciously designed with high-quality, quick-dry, and recycled materials. For another—and this is a big one–throughout the month and in celebration of International Women’s Day (March 8), Equestrian Stockholm will donate five percent of its proceeds from the Black Raven collection to #WeRideTogether and its work to promote transparent dialogue around sexual misconduct and help end the endemic issue of sexual abuse in all youth sports.
Amazing? Yes, but not a new concept for Equestrian Stockholm, a brand that focuses both on sustainable design and social consciousness, routinely donating a portion of their proceeds to important causes around the globe.
In fact, Equestrian Stockholm’s own initiative, #RideforWomen, inspired by brand ambassador Sophie Jahn, centers around providing female riders with self-confidence and the feeling that nothing is impossible, while also strengthening their opportunities to succeed.
So yes, what we’re saying is, you can look this good and feel even better about the Black Raven pieces in your closet and tack room. How’s that for style and substance?
Helmed by its deep-purple signature hue, the Black Raven collection offers a range of eye-catching, empowering pieces designed for women, by women—and available for horses and riders alike.
Among the equine collection: moisture-wicking, quick-dry, and anti-slip saddle pads; ear bonnets; polo wraps; halters; and open-front tendon boots, created with a shock-absorbing shell, breathable and quick-dry padding, and stretchy, quick-release straps.
For the rider, the Black Raven collection will have you putting the ‘F’ in fierce, while also feeling like the powerful athlete you are in their four-way, compressive, high-waisted tights—complete with cell-phone pockets and silicon grip—and new Revolve schooling jacket, with its flattering cut, lightweight and breathable material (made from recycled polyester!), and super functionality. (Think: hidden pockets and subtle zippers).
The new Black Raven collection is available for purchase at EquestrianStockholm.com.
Founded in 2021, #WeRideTogether started as an awareness campaign and educational website designed to empower, inform and unite the equestrian community around sexual misconduct prevention. Showcasing powerful first-person interviews from sexual abuse survivors, WeRideTogether.today promotes transparent dialogue around sexual misconduct, raises awareness for the many forms grooming and abuse can take and helps diminish the stigma and fear of coming forward by giving survivors a safe platform to share their voices. The organization has since grown into a 501c3 and is creating a blueprint to help make all sports safer for youth, amateur, and professional athletes.
