Women in dresses and flats…men in suits and loafers…browbands bedazzled and hooves polished…dust flying and the temperature rising, eyeballs prying…
Inspection Day #1, Rolex Kentucky.
The unofficial “FIRST-first” day of the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event is of course the almighty inspection jog. Before you dance the dance, you have to jog the jog. The weather cooperated on Wednesday, and so too did the critters, with only a few moments of tantrum as these seasoned pros get set to tackle North America’s most demanding three-day event.
After the gravel dust settled all combinations were accepted, with the exception of Colleen Rutledge who unfortunately had to scratch Covert Rights from the weekend’s competition.
