Behoove is the next-generation internal agency at Horse Network – a venture-backed multi-faceted media company headquartered in Burlington, VT. With team members in Toronto, Sacramento, Lexington and NYC and deep expertise in modern, multi-media storytelling, we are growing rapidly and need to add to our team.
We work with brands, agencies and publishers to maximize sponsorships, return on advertising and marketing spend and inventory yield/monetization. We provide a full suite of creative, strategy, trafficking, media buying, digital analytics, reporting and marketing services.
Role
We are seeking a highly motivated current or aspiring Business Development/Sales Professional to join our team. Direct experience is not necessary – but the right attitude is a must. Training will be provided. In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Concept and pitch campaigns to current and prospective clients and partners
- Maintain a proactive, forward-leaning “let’s give them a call!” attitude towards relationship development.
- Develop strong relationships at scale
- Satisfy your fiery hunger to learn more about marketing, advertising and brand development
- Leverage a warm lead database of hundreds of screened, qualified leads
- Leverage existing sales materials, case studies and company expertise to quickly close “low-hanging fruit” opportunities
- Thrive in the rapid growth, unique learning opportunities and generalized craziness of a high-growth venture-backed digital startup.
- Secure new business partnerships
- Research and evaluate potential new partners
- Reach out to potential new partners via phone with email and linked-in follow-up
- Develop client-specific presentations
- Work with new partners on pricing & finalization of contracts
Requirements
- 1+ year of cold-calling sales experience/ business development
- Bachelor’s degree a plus but not required
- Willingness to work hard, learn fast and adjust to change
- Mild-to-enthusiastic attitude about ping pong
- Positive attitude
- Eagerness to balance fun with both professionalism and productivity
- Excellent research, writing and communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Strong project management skills
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint and Word
- An entrepreneurial spirit
