Global Champions League’s leading ladies are doing just that.

The Cannes Stars powered by Iron Dames extended their GCL team standings lead by 10 points in St Tropez, France on Friday.

The GCL’s only all-female team now sits on 117 points, ahead of Stockholm Hearts (107 points) and Madrid In Motion (102 points).

The pink ladies have had a lock on the team leaderboard since kicking off the 2024 GCL season—and their new team concept founded by Iron Dames OG Deborah Mayer—with a win in Doha. Sophie Hinners, Janne Freiderike Meyer-Zimmermann and Sanne Thijssen led the charge in the Qatari capital.

While Cannes Stars failed to podium in the four legs following, they’ve have only once finished outside the top eight, taking eighth in Miami Beach and Mexico City, fifth in Shanghai and 10th in Madrid.

Their victory in St. Tropez makes the Stars the only two-time winner this season to date and it was a decisive one. Represented by Katrin Eckermann (GER) on Calad Mandia NRW and Chao Lee and Kim Emmen (FRA) on Imagine and Inflame Go, Cannes Stars were the only team to finish on a clean sheet.

Madrid in Motion took second on 5 fautls. Stockholm Hearts, third on 6.

“We won the first stage in Doha and have been very unlucky since. It is just an amazing feeling to win here with all the supporters from the Iron Dames, and the wider team around us, and I am really enjoying it,” said Eckermann.

“In Doha we had different women in our team that won so it shows how strong we are. We are just women in the sport following our dreams and right now I don’t want to ever stop it.”

Next week, the GCL heads to the Stars home event in Cannes, June 6–8.
