They say a woman’s work is never done, but they just as well could have been talking about farriers. Part vet, part handyman, and part therapist, farriers spend most of their time just trying to get their work done while negotiating around huge, sensitive and overly fragile creatures. And then there are the horses.

Owners read the internet. They know things about their horse’s feet. They’re almost always emotionally and financially stressed for one reason or another, and have a tendency to be less than conscientious of their farrier’s time.
