Trendsetters: Millennial Edition

You’ve gotta have style

Equestrian sport is synonymous with a uniquely polished sense of style.

You don’t need to know much about horses to instantly identify a pair of riding boots and breeches. Or, at least, in theory. (Has anyone else been asked if they ride motorcycles while waiting in line at Costco in your breeches and boots? Awkward…)

With the influx of options in the last few years, we’ve sashayed into a new generation of “style”—where the options are endless and the trends ever changing. There is literally a style for everyone now.

Here are a few of our favorite millennial riders who never disappoint in showcasing the latest and the greatest inside the ring and out.

Kaley Cuoco and Karl Cook

As one of the cutest couples on the circuit, Kaley Cuoco and Karl Cook are forever popping up on social media looking fabulous. Kaley is permanently on our radar for the latest fashion trends. Her chic style is always paired with a tasteful bit of sparkle. Have you seen her new crystal Kask Helmet? To die for!

She’s the ultimate fashion icon in the equestrian world, but it’s for more than just clothes. We love how she partners with different organizations to give back.

The ultimate other half, Karl Cook is one to watch for a new equestrian coat or taking on new designs with his riding boots. Braving new styles and holding strong to his own unique sense of fashion, Karl is the change we all crave in this sport.

This fashionable couple not only keeps it fashion forward in the ring, they have created new looks for outside the ring by pairing hats (other than the typical baseball cap) and chic sunglasses with their riding apparel.

Just doin what we love 😃🦄🐴 🐶@mrtankcook @claudcraig @julie.rae7

Uma O’Neill

Uma O’Neill, always so polished. This young rider is a fan favorite to watch inside the ring—her riding skills are always on point and her style only highlights her talents. Classic and clean, her style always features the best silhouettes and latest styles down to her wide brim KEP helmet.

We haven’t seen any crazy colors going on in Uma’s wardrobe. But when we do see the occasional pop of color, we can’t help but fall in love with the shades of blue she chooses. She rocked her MotionLite navy mesh coat in Thermal!

She is more than adorable outside the ring as she pairs her show clothes with a great little sweater and a signature baseball cap.

And, of course, we love seeing her reppin’ O’Neill sweatshirts over her show shirts, because that is just awesome.

Karrie Rufer

Karrie Rufer has definitely figured out the balance between color, sparkle and class. This young lady is one to watch when it comes to adding a tasteful pop of color to one’s riding wardrobe, especially when it comes to her power color red. Have you seen her new CWD mademoiselle with red piping?! Ultra chic.

What we love about Karrie’s style is she is never in the same color coat. Karrie can rock a dark grey Animo coat with a sparkle collar or a classic black coat with the signature three buttons on the sleeve. Subtlety is an art, whether it’s a belt, piping or a crop, this girl knows what’s up and is definitely one to watch for how to pair modern flare with classic traditions.

With some many fashionable riders out there it’s hard to highlight just a few. We love you all and simply adore each person’s sense of fashion. Remember, we are always watching….(in a non-creepy way, of course) and will be on the look out for riders to highlight next month!

‘Till next time,
