Get ready Florida! The World Equestrian Center (WEC) is coming for you.
Hot off the press release, WEC has partnered with Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club to develop a world-class equestrian sports venue in Central Florida. What’s the new venue to be dubbed, you ask? Why, the World Equestrian Center Ocala at Golden Ocala.
According to the release:
“More than 1,000 acres of land has recently been procured to establish the World Equestrian Center Ocala
and related 1-10 acre residential lots, which will allow equestrians who want to compete in Florida during the Winter season to combine the best of equestrian sports and country club living.”
Amenities at family owned and operated venue already include championship golf and tennis facilities, an equestrian center, full service fitness and spa experiences, luxury living, fine dining and more. All of which will be part of their National Membership package.
Again from the release:
“In celebration of its 30th Anniversary, Golden Ocala is offering a special membership for equestrians in 2016. This exclusive ‘National Membership’ waives the club’s initiation fee and gives equestrians the opportunity to gain access to state-of-the-art of equestrian amenities, as well as access to golf, tennis, spa services, the fitness center and fabulous dining and hospitality, all for just $2,000/per year.”
Only a select number of National Memberships will be available this year. Riders at this week’s World Equestrian Center Invitational get first crack at the “try-it-before-you-buy-it” offer.

When will lot pricing be available?
We are currently developing the pricing for our 1-10 acre lots. We’d encourage those interested to visit.
What type of equestrian sports will be featured at World Equestrian Center in Ocala?
We plan to create a facility that will accommodate several different disciplines.
When does building commence?
We plan to break ground in the next 30 days.
When will you host your first horse show?
Our best estimate at this point is that we will hold horse shows starting in 2017.
What about USEF mileage rules? Will you plan to have USEF sanctioned/recognized events at WEC South?
Yes! Ultimately our plan is to host sanctioned events. We will begin the application process with USEF to acquire dates in Ocala in the near future.
Does home ownership at WEC South at Golden Ocala include club membership?
Golden Ocala is developing special equestrian membership packages.
