Nestled between mountains of old forest trees and the Pacific ocean, on the outskirts of Langley, BC, Thunderbird Show Park is the stuff postcard pictures are made of. This year, the boutique show facility hosted the final leg of the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup™ Jumping 2016 North America, Central America and Caribbean League for the first time. It was a dream realized for the Tidall family and a fairy tale ending for at least six riders.

Team Mexico logged a back-t0-back win, putting paid to their 26-year Nations Cup drought this year and earning a berth at the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup Final in Barcelona, Spain. Hometown hero Tiffany Foster (CAN) posted a double clear at the very venue that launched her career. While Ireland’s Daniel Coyle put in a faultless performance in his senior team debut.

The only thing that could have made the day more magical is if Foster broke out into song and small woodland animals carried in the ribbons.
