It isn’t springtime at Miracle Mountain Ranch in Spring Creek, Pennsylvania, without a crop of baby Quarter Horses in the pasture! This year the breedings were generously donated to the ranch, a non-profit Christian organization, by Silver Spurs Equine. The first of two babies was born on May 1st and the second on May 25th.

This is the first foal for Chex or Cash Doc (“Loretta”), and the fourth for Smooth in Nike’s, who is a top Miracle Mountain lesson horse. Both Silver Spurs stallions, Custom Cash Advance and Ruf Conqueror, are NRHA $2 million sires.

“We have found that a horse that has the foundation of a reining horse can easily go into any discipline,” says Kara Baratta, Miracle Mountain Ranch’s Equine Program Director.

“Our hopes with this year’s foals is that they will grow up to fit into our program and be able to teach the many people that visit the ranch the joy of riding well-broke, quality bred horses.”
