Fangirling over your favorite rider is standard fare on social media. We know because a) we do it, a lot and b) we post your gushing tweets on the regular.

While confessing your heart’s desire in 140 characters or fewer can be giddily liberating, it’s impossible to know where exactly those sentiments wind up. Does your rider-crush even read your tweets? Are their social media minions passing on your abbreviated love letters? Are they—eek!— forever lost in the Internet ether?!

Horse Network is getting to the bottom of those pressing questions.

We rounded up your tweets and recruited professional fangirl Heather Struthers to stalk Scott Brash, Bertram Allen, Todd Minikus and more at the Longines Global Champions Tour in Miami earlier this month. It’s hard to say who found this experience more awkward. But we’re pretty sure it was Heather. (JK. It was definitely Heather.)

Without further ado, here is “Riders Read Awkward Tweets.”

*Special thanks to #HeroHeather for embracing this ridiculous assignment. Check out her store, Performance Horse & Rider—it too is awesome, entertaining and privy to the occasional awkward moment.
